Best performance at the World Championship: 5th place in Division IIIB (2023).

The World Championship in Armenia will be the fourth in the history of the Iranian national team. Iranian hockey players played in Division IV once in 2022. Then they took second place in the group with Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Malaysia and Kuwait and advanced to Division IIIB.

The main star of the Iranian national team is Jalal Keyhanfar. The 34-year-old forward's best performance at the World Championship took place in Division IV in 2022. He scored 10 (4+6) points in 4 games and entered the top 10 scorers of the tournament.

Best World Championship Performance: 2nd place in Division IV (2024).

The Kuwait national team will take part in the World Championship for the 4th time. The Falcons participated in the Division IIIB qualifiers twice, but failed to advance to the main part of the tournament. Thus, they have never risen above the fourth division.

The last World Championship in Division IV was held in Kuwait. The hosts took second place at the home tournament. They beat Malaysia and Indonesia, but lost to Mongolia, which won the World Championship.

The top scorer of the last World Championship in Division IV was Kuwait forward Ilya Drozdetskikh. The 26-year-old native of Tyumen has been playing for the Asian team since 2022. In Russia, he played more than 150 matches in the MHL for Mamonty Yugra, with whom he reached the conference finals in the Kharlamov Cup in the 18/19 season. He also played 17 matches in the VHL for Kurgan's Zauralye.

At the last World Championship in Division IV, Drozdetskikh became the top scorer, scoring 17 (7+10) points in 3 games.

The Indonesian national team will participate in the World Championship for the third time. At the debut tournament in 2023, the team took fourth place. The following year, the result was better - third place in the same division. Then, the first victory in the history of the national team at the World Championship was won (7:6 OT, Malaysia).

The best scorer in Indonesian history is Ronald Wijaya. In all tournaments, the 35-year-old forward scored 26 (13+13) points. At the last World Championship, he earned 3 (1+2) points in 3 games.

Best World Championship Performance: 4th place in Division IV (2022).

The Malaysian national team will participate in the World Championship for the 3rd time. The debut took place in 2022, when the team took 4th place in Division IV and received promotion. The following year, in Division IIIB, the Malaysians lost all matches and returned to the next step. In 2024, the team again failed to win at least one match, but scored one point, losing to Indonesia in overtime with a score of 6:7.

Malaysia's top scorer at the last World Championship was forward Azra Amir Faris. He played 3 matches and scored 3 (1+2) points.
The Uzbekistan national ice hockey team will debut at the World Championship. It is known that the core of the national team will be made up of Humo hockey players who play in the Kazakhstan championship. At the time of publication, the Uzbek club is playing in the semi-final series of the playoffs.
The history of the Armenian national team is unique. The last time the Armenian national team played at the World Championship was in 2010. Then the tournament was held in Yerevan. The return after 15 years will take place in the capital of Armenia.
